WW 11 Chetnik Badge

This Cap Badge was given to me by the daughter of a Polsh Refugee c1963.
The Refugee escaped West as a 16 year old, when the Russians invaded Poland in Sept 1939. He turned up in the UK in 1945. What he did between those periods is anybody's guess ?
